Current President Eli Mast called the meeting to order at 10:20 a.m.
He asked for nominations for President. Kathryn Braden nominated Steve Oetting, this was seconded by Steve Huber. Steve Hopper moved nominations cease and he be elected by acclamation, seconded by Kathryn Braden. Approved.
Steve Oetting then took over the meeting and asked for nominations for 1st Vice President. Donald Jordan nominated Kathryn Braden. This was seconded by Steve Huber. Tom Lambert then moved nominations cease and she be elected by acclamation, seconded by Steve Huber. Approved.
Tom Lambert nominated Steve Huber for 2nd Vice President. This was seconded by Kathryn Braden. Donald Jordan then moved nominations cease and he be elected by acclamation, seconded by Laura McKeever. Approved.
Eli Mast nominated Jim Hubert for 3rd Vice President. This was seconded by Donald Jordan. Laura McKeever then moved nominations cease and he be elected by acclamation, seconded by Eli Mast. Approved.
The NACD Board Member and Alternate were decided at Monday’s meeting to be the President and Past President.
Steve Oetting then appointed David Dix as Treasurer and Peggy Lemons as Executive Director.
Steve Oetting indicated he planned to get information from the Directors on their long-term intentions and special interests. He will definitely keep the Urban Committee and will appoint a Policy/Resolutions Committee.
The NACD North Central Region Meeting in Chicago, January 8-9 will be attended by Steve Oetting, Eli Mast and Peggy Lemons. The NACD National Meeting in Hawaii, February 1-5 will be attended by Eli Mast and Peggy Lemons; and Steve Oetting is strongly considering attending. The NACD Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, March 15-17 will be attended by Steve Oetting, Peggy Lemons and Eli Mast.
The Farm Bureau Ag-Leaders Luncheon next Monday at Tan-Tar-A will be attended by Steve Oetting possibly. If he cannot attend, Steve Huber will attend in his place.
Steve Oetting stated he planned to attend the Commission meetings.
Bob Thornsberry expressed his gratitude for the time he served on the board.
The next meeting will be at the Education Seminar, date to be set after legislative session starts.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 a.m. Motion for adjournment made by Kathryn Braden, seconded by Steve Huber.
